The St. Joseph Mustangs’ success on the baseball diamond has been showcased week in and week out, but there have been some big wins for a couple of players off the field, as well.
The St. Joseph Mustangs tallied two dominant victories over the weekend as they seek to climb the North Division of the MINK League.
The St. Joseph Mustangs returned to Phil Welch Stadium with a high-scoring victory on Thursday. The matchup pitted two teams that have won their leagues three years in a row. The Mustangs (MINK League) faced off with the Raiders (Ban Johnson), a collegiate baseball league based out of Kansas City.

While summer just began, the St. Joseph Mustangs have been hot since the beginning of the 2023 season. The team recently showcased that during a six-game win streak beginning June 13.

Sammey Bunch made her return as a St. Joseph Mustang assistant coach this previous weekend. Last season was Bunch’s first season and a first for the Mustangs, as they became the first MINK League team to ever have female coaches.
The St. Joseph Mustangs have now won their last six games after sweeping their weekend opponents.
The St. Joseph Mustangs secured their third consecutive win with a 6-2 victory over the Carroll Merchants on Thursday night.
